For Black History Month, CBS News did a feature on the TEP Center and the story of the “New Orleans Four”: Ms. Leona Tate, Ms.
Nana Anoa Nantambu has been a part of our cultural organizing community for many years. She is a community healer and educator. Her gift of song has commemorated important moments in our history, such as the funeral of our founder Dr. Jim Dunn, and in the pouring of libations during the National Gathering in 2019.

Mr. Ronald Chisom, PISAB co-founder and former Executive Director, was honored as one of New Orleans’ Black Hidden Heroes in a celebration on May 26th.
On May 10, a group of anti-racist organizers made a trip from New Orleans to Tchula, Mississippi, reconnecting with the people and a place that
